Juan Pfeiffer

Juan is a member of the Board of Directors. He has over 10 years of experience in oil and gas and renewable energy in the private and public sectors with a diverse project portfolio in Colombia, India, Venezuela and Canada. Prior to joining Optima Global, he led and managed the Government of Alberta’s Indigenous Green Energy Development Program (AIGEDP) where he advised over 30 Indigenous communities in Alberta on commercial-scale renewable energy development projects. He is also the founder of a startup, SEOS Energy, the first and only “Solar-as-a-Service” provider for residential and small commercial users in Colombia. 

Juan holds an MSc in Sustainable Energy Development from the University of Calgary and dual degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering with a minor in Finance from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. He is a Certified Expert in Climate & Renewable Energy Finance by the Frankfurt School of Business. 

He is passionate about renewable energy and committed to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all. Juan is a strong believer in energy transition through a bottom up approach with the development and massification of decentralized sustainable energy systems addressing the needs of individuals, households and communities.
